Bob and Norma enjoyed 18 sunshine years together as they square-danced at locations from State College to Florida, until Bob passed away at the age of 94 on Aug. 24, 2007.
Norma felt that her greatest accomplishment was raising the seven children that she greatly loved. She enjoyed news, politics, current events and, until suffering from macular degeneration, reading. She enjoyed books on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, as well as Will and Ariel Durant's 11-volume "Story of Civilization." She was a member of the University Baptist and Brethren Church, State College, Order of the Eastern Star #388, and volunteered for many years at the State College Women's Thrift Shop. As a registered nurse, Norma worked with prominent State College residents, and was proud of her daughter and all of the grandchildren following her in nursing.

Edwin A. Seibel [23July1995]
On Sunday, July 23, 1995; beloved husband of JoAnna Seibel; father of Eric, Marlana and Matt Seibel; brother of Barbara Houck, Janet Shullo, Frank, Cal and Michael Seibel. Visitation Monday 7-9, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at WM.
Slater & Sons, Inc., Virginia Ave. & Kearsarge St., Mount Washington; Funeral Service Wednesday, 11 am.
Edwin was born December 25, 1948. His brother Michael reports that Eddie was Vice President of his union, the Communications Workers of America for 26 years. His sister Janet writes "he is buried in Calvary Cemetery near Homestead. I know he was Vice President of his union at work, did D.J. work and also had his own musical group for a while. Everything Eddie did was always top notch. He was extremely bright. He also had expanded computer knowledge and did photography too."
On his funeral card was "Footprints," one of Eddie's favorites:
One night I had a dream, I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, on belonging to me and the to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us, I looked back at the footprints in the sand, I noticed that many times along the path of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of my life. This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, You would walk with me all the way, but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious Child, I love you during times of trial and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was when I carried you."

Chuck Glantz [5October1984]
In Memory of Chuck Glantz
On October 5, 1984 at age 39, Chuck Glantz of Lo-Temp suffered a massive myocardial infarction which took his live. The suddenness of the heart attack with its lack of warning to this young man in the prime of life, sent waves of shock and sadness throughout the entire Sky Brothers organization. It is in response to that loss and in the spirit of mattering to one another that Sky's The Limit offers this expression of condolence to those whose life he touched.
It was in March, 1983 that Chuck came to work at Lo-Temp Express as mechanic maintenance supervisor, heading up a nine-man team. Previously, he had been employed by Cummin's Diesel Engine Co. for 10 years, as a journeyman mechanic repairing diesel engines and then as a field technician. In commenting on Chuck's impact on Lo-Temp Express during the 1-1/2 year period, Bert Hobbs, General Manager, had this to say about him: "Chuck brought a 'new knowledge' to Lo-Temp. He concerned himself directly with our equipment, that it received preventive maintenance. During the last half of 1983 and the first half of 1984, Lo-Temp Express increased the fuel mileage on the over-the-road tractors from 5.60 to 6.10 miles per gallon. I credit this savings largely to Chuck's enthusiastic approach, his technical knowledge and the performance of our mechanics and drivers. He is sadly missed by all of us here."
To Joyce Glantz (his wife of 16-1/2 years) and to their six year old daughter Eve, the loss must be a much more personal one. Together, they had made a life in Fallentimber, near Glendale Lake. Chuck was originally from Pittsburgh; he had served 3 years with the army in Germany and then settled in Jeanette, Pennsylvania where he met Joyce while they both were working for the Elliott Company, makers of large equipment and a division of Carrier Corporation. Then work took him to Cummin's Diesel Engine Co. and ultimately to Lo-Temp.
"One man's death diminishes us all."
